WHAT IS THE INTERNATIONAL SARPLANINAC CLUB ?
It was founded in Niš by representatives of three clubs - Czech Yugoslav-sheepdog
fanciers club, Yugoslav sarplaninac club and the Sarplaninac section of
the French shepherd dogs fanciers club.
Representatives of Macedonia, which is along with Yugoslavia the patron
of the race of the Sarplaninac, were also invited. But they were just present
to the meeting in Niš where the foundation charter was undersigned. They
said they were satisfied with a pose of observers for the time being.
Representatives of the Slovak sarplaninac fanciers club and the Hungarian
club were also invited. But they did not appear in Niš and the club was
founded without them. The Slovak club had already sent the application to
the club. Same interest was manifested also by the Hungarian fanciers.

WHAT IS A PURPOSE OF THE CLUB
Through the club, fanciers from various countries will be able to exchange information
on their dogs - on experiences with their breeding, successed at exhibitions,
problems...The Sarplaninac was bred in various countries of Europe but also
in the United States of America and Canada but in each country it was isolated
from the others. And it concerns just one race. People from the whole world
who would never come to know it will learn about the Sarplaninac.
The club operates on the principles of equality of all its members
Mr. Radulović was accredited to lead the club. He already informed the FCI about
the foundation of the International sarplaninac club.
WHAT IS STATED IN THE FOUNDATION CHARTER
The foundation charter says:
"The International sarplaninac club is a voluntary and expert association
of clubs, fanciers and owners of the Sarplaninacs in Europe and world. The International
sarplaninac club was founded with purpose of continual and integral planning
and advancement of the Sarplaninac in the world and its versatile exercise in
accordance with the rules and the standard of the FCI."
In accordance with the foundation charter, the objectives and assignments of
the club are these:
- preservation and improvement of the morphological characteristics of the race
of Sarplaninac
- improvement of the breeding of the Sarplaninac in the world in accordance
with the race standard and the FCI rules
- unification and the legal and professional regimentation of the selection
- popularization and exercise of the race of Sarplaninac in the world by professional,
breeding, sportive and commercial means
- unification of all data significant for the development, improvement and breeding
of the race
- foundation of the common database of the exterior, breeding and operationally
excellent race individuals
- unification of the arrangements and activities with purpose to prevent the
expansion of serious hereditary defects and ilnesses
- arrangements of specialized readings, round tables and symposiums on the Sarplaninac,
trends in breeding, experiences and attained results
- arrangements of world and Europe special and club exhibitions
